Description

I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’ – Psalm 122:1

Why do Christians gather together every Lord’s Day? Why We Gather helps children and families answer that question with warmth, clarity, and joy. Written in simple rhyme and paired with engaging illustrations, this children’s book introduces young readers to the beauty and purpose of corporate worship and the importance of the local church.

Through accessible teaching and Christ-centered encouragement, children learn that church is more than a weekly routine. They are introduced to the means of grace, the preaching of God’s Word, prayer, singing, and fellowship with God’s people. Along the way, families are reminded that the Lord’s Day is a gift meant to strengthen believers and direct hearts toward Christ.

Designed for family reading, church libraries, and discipleship in the home, Why We Gather serves as a helpful tool for teaching children to treasure worship from an early age.

We read that children were brought to Jesus (Matt. 19:13). In this little book, girls and boys learn about the importance of meeting Jesus in church. They learn about the means of grace and how each one calls children to believe in Jesus. What a helpful tool to assist parents as they teach their children the importance of church attendance.
