The Necessity of Accommodation and the Danger of Compromise in the Life and Ministry of the Church (eBook)

$4.99

This small book by Tom Ascol explores that question in a precise, thorough, and biblically consistent manner. His treatment serves as a model of how Christians should think biblically about every element of discipleship. This issue is vitally important as we navigate the ground between unwarranted compromise, Christian freedom, and loving accommodation. This reading will be an encouragement to spiritual maturity, loving one’s neighbor, and self-effacing evangelism.

“Tom Ascol has given us an insightful template for protecting the Gospel from erosion as it’s conveyed and also from evasion as it’s considered. The Gospel must not be diluted by the preacher; nor should the hearer be distracted when he considers its offer. Dr. Ascol has given us a clear path to avoid both errors.”

DAVID PITMAN

“We all, as pastors, as well as laymen, struggle in these things. As a reformed Baptist pastor, I have been guilty of being condescending to those who disagree, even becoming argumentative. This never helps. Tom does a masterful job in showing the difference between compromise and accommodation. A must read, especially for pastors.”
