What a great blessing to the saints of God that Curtis Vaughan’ s commentary on Ephesians is again available. When the commentary first appeared as a January Bible Study book for the Southern Baptist Convention (1964), I was a junior in high school. I attended every session that was taught. At that point, a deep-seated desire for the knowledge of God through biblical theology was implanted in my heart. I recommend this to pastors and laity alike. Its exposition is built on a profound understanding of the grammar of the text, the entire New Testament message, and the glorious gospel with all of its attendant doctrines. It is profound, yet easily within the grasp of every earnest Christian.

I cannot recommend Vaughan’s Study Guide on Ephesians too highly. There is no fluff, no padding, no wasted words. If you are seeking a model of biblical exposition, or if you simply want a refreshing bath in biblical truth, open anywhere and begin to read. Vaughan’s comments comprise the most useful study guide in print for Bible students.

Don’t let the size of this volume fool you. It contains a treasure of exegetical insight and solid theological reflection just waiting to be mined by the serious student of Scripture. Founders Press is providing a great service to the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ by reprinting Curtis Vaughan’s commentary on the book of Ephesians.
